This Content License sets out what you may and may not do with the material on Fin Maverick. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to every learner, free or paid.
Owner: Pravesio Consulting Private Limited ("Fin Maverick", "we", "us").
1. What "Content" Means
"Content" means everything we make available on or through the Platform, including:
- learning modules, lesson pages, and structured notes;
- video lessons, recorded live sessions, and mentor session recordings;
- question banks, practice quizzes, mock tests, and their solutions and explanations;
- case studies, datasets, worked models, spreadsheets, and templates;
- frameworks, checklists, comparison tables, and formula references;
- calculators and their underlying logic and interface;
- micro course material, bootcamp curricula, and capstone briefs;
- Showdown briefs, judging rubrics, and competition material;
- blog posts, career guides, and downloadable resources; and
- the Platform's design, layout, code, graphics, and brand assets.
2. Ownership
2.1 All Content is owned by Pravesio Consulting Private Limited or licensed to us by third parties, and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and applicable international treaties.
2.2 Enrolling in a programme buys you access to Content, not ownership of it. No intellectual property is transferred to you at any point.
2.3 Marks including "Fin Maverick", "FinMaverick", "Maverick Bootcamp", "FinMaverick Pro", "FinMaverick Essentials", "Showdown", and our logo are ours. Third-party names — including NISM, SEBI, exchange names, index names, and any company or fund used in a case study — belong to their respective owners and appear here only to describe or illustrate. Their appearance implies no affiliation or endorsement in either direction.
3. The Licence We Grant You
Subject to your compliance with these terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to:
- access and view Content through your own account, on your own devices, for the duration of your access period;
- take your own handwritten or typed notes for personal study;
- download material that is expressly offered with a download button, and keep it for your own study;
- use calculators and frameworks for your own learning and personal analysis; and
- reference what you have learned in your own original work, interviews, and CV.
That is the whole licence. Anything not granted above is reserved.
4. What You May Not Do
You may not, directly or through anyone else:
Copy and distribution
- reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any Content;
- share Content on Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Google Drive, Dropbox, Reddit, forums, torrent sites, or any file-sharing or messaging service;
- upload Content to any other learning platform, course marketplace, or website;
- sell, resell, rent, lease, licence, or sublicense Content in any form.
Recording and capture
- record, screen-record, screenshot, or photograph lessons, live sessions, question banks, or mock tests;
- transcribe video or audio Content into text for distribution;
- use screen-capture software, virtual cameras, or capture cards against the Platform.
Access and automation
- share your login credentials with anyone, or use another person's account;
- run scrapers, crawlers, bots, headless browsers, or automated download tools;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with paywalls, watermarks, DRM, rate limits, or other access controls.
Derivative and commercial use
- create derivative works, adaptations, or translations of Content;
- use Content to teach, coach, tutor, or train others, whether paid or free;
- use Content to build, train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine learning or AI model, or to populate any dataset;
- use Content in any competing product, course, or service;
- use Content to provide investment advice, research, tips, or signals to any third party.
Attribution
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notice, watermark, learner ID, or attribution;
- present Content as your own work.
5. Watermarking and Traceability
5.1 Content delivered to you may carry visible or invisible identifiers tied to your account, including watermarks, per-learner encoding, and unique question variants.
5.2 These allow us to trace leaked material back to the account it came from. If Content traced to your account appears in an unauthorised place, we will treat that as a breach by you, whether or not you shared it yourself. Protect your credentials accordingly.
6. Enforcement
If we find a breach, we may take any or all of the following steps, in proportion to the severity:
- Warning and takedown — notify you and require the material to be removed.
- Access restriction — limit concurrent sessions or require re-verification.
- Suspension — pause access while we investigate.
- Termination without refund — end your account and licence. No refund is due for a termination under this section.
- Statutory notices — issue takedown notices to platforms, hosts, and search engines.
- Civil action — pursue injunctive relief, damages, and an account of profits under the Copyright Act, 1957.
- Criminal complaint — Section 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957 provides for imprisonment and fine for knowing infringement. Sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 apply to unauthorised access, downloading, and extraction.
We may also recover costs, including legal fees and investigation expenses.
7. Reporting Infringement
If you find Fin Maverick material published without authorisation anywhere, tell us at help@finmaverick.com with the subject "Piracy Report" and include the URL or a screenshot. Reports may be made anonymously.
If you believe Content on our Platform infringes your copyright, send a notice to help@finmaverick.com with the subject "Copyright Notice", including:
- identification of the work you say is infringed;
- the exact URL of the material on our Platform;
- your contact details;
- a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised; and
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We will acknowledge within 48 hours and act within 36 hours of validating the claim, as required under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
8. Third-Party and Open Material
8.1 Some Content incorporates material licensed from third parties, or public material such as regulatory circulars, exchange data, company filings, and published financial statements. That material remains subject to the terms of its own source, which may be more restrictive than this licence.
8.2 Where we identify third-party material, we attribute it. Where you intend to reuse anything traceable to an external source, check that source's own terms first.
8.3 Nothing in this licence grants you rights in any third-party trademark, syllabus, or examination material.
9. Your Own Work
9.1 The research notes, models, capstone deliverables, and competition arguments you create remain yours. You may use them in your portfolio, your CV, and your interviews.
9.2 Where your work is built on a Fin Maverick case brief, template, or dataset, you may share the output you produced, but not the underlying brief, template, or dataset itself.
9.3 By submitting work to the Platform, you grant us the licence described in Section 7.4 of the Terms & Conditions.
10. Duration and Termination of the Licence
10.1 The licence lasts for your access period and ends automatically when that period expires, when your subscription ends, or when your account is terminated.
10.2 On expiry or termination, you must stop using the Content and delete any downloaded copies, except material expressly offered for permanent download.
10.3 Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update this Content License. For material changes we will give at least 15 days' notice by email or in-platform notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
